If it is a used car, then you may not be able to make them pay anything, however' In Michigan for example, you can contact the SOS office and file a complaint. Tell them you are going to do this and I'll bet they pay for it all just to get you off their back.

The employees at SOS that check out car shops are ex state police officers and they do not tak kindly to this type of service. If you are not in michigan, then check for the same with your state.

Shops like this take advantage of people who don't know their rights - bring this type of action up and you will get their attention :)

I had recently purchased a vehicle from Brison Motors in SLC, UTAH and 3 weeks later the motor went out on it. The autobody shop tested the oil & it had honey in the motor which is an additive used to mask the cound of the motor going bad & hides the nock on the motor. They deny any involvement but how can they. They also had my car registered in St. George, UTAH due to the fact that they don't have to do safety & emissions & because it did not pass her but they mever bothered to tell me. I want to know what I can do about this.

I specifically asked the owner and her Dad who was acting on her behalf in her absence if there was any major concerns so we can repair them before the transaction. He told me NOPE! that he had recently had the muffler system repaired at the station where the car was being shown. Come to find out the passanger side front window is off the track and causes water to leak in the car. The Air conditioning system is wired incorrectly and therefore blows HOT air.
Please let me know if I can ask him to make these repairs. I paid $1500. for the car last Friday.
Thanks!!

In 2004 I went to buy a car, I didn't have any credit so I asked my dad if he could help. Instead of co-signing he took my money and just put the car in his name. In about september of 2006 the transmission went out on the car. I paid 2300 to get a new transmission put in. After the car was paid off my father dicided that i should not just buy the car from the dealership, but buy it from him again. He dicided to sell me the car for $4,250 3-15-07.I later found out that the car isn't even worth 2,000. March 25 I decided to leave Georgia, and move to reno, a few hours after i left my father called and said he was going to report the car stolen even though we have a sales agreement. the 28th of march I ended up stranded in Wyoming during the blizzard. We took the car to Laramie ford to get a dyignostic on the car because the engine light came on, Ford said they couldn't help us with the car, but that it was most likely the transmission. We couldn't leave town, but we didn't have money to stay, and I don't know what would of happened to myself, my wife, and my two year old daughter in that blizzard if it wern't for the guys at Laramie ford, who put us up in a hotel room and paid for 3 grey hound tickets to Reno. Please respond I don't know what to do, and I don't want to get stuck with a car that i owe 4,250 on, already put 2,300 for, and might have to again, and still just end up with a car worth only 2,000 at the most!

I bought a car and the breaks were bad and they will not fix them are they liable?
I have drove the car 600 miles. They said they would pay for half the breaks, should they pay for all as they did not check the breaks first before I bought it.
